A four day programme ( two weekends) course leading to the BCU/UKCC Level 1 coach award.  Pre-requisites for this are a current First Aid certificate, Foundation Safety and Rescue Course (or Canoe Safety Test) and a ‘new’ two star award.  Assessment forms part of the four day programme. If you are resident in Cambridgeshire and intend to coach in a voluntary capacity, then you can apply personally to Living Sport for a bursary, which at the moment is 50% or £200 towards the cost (whichever is less!). You can download the form from our download section; if you live in another county then there are also bursaries available. Contact your local Sports Partnership for details, or email us at Mepal and we may be able to supply you with details. If you are booking a 2*, Safety and Rescue or First aid with us, don't forget to include that cost as well!
